Have you herd? - VisitScotland Edinburgh and Lothians has sponsored its very own cow as part of this year’s CowParade which takes place throughout the city from 15 May until 23 July.
The aptly named cow - ‘Moo are here’ - features a colourful street map of Edinburgh city centre and has been put out to pasture outside the Edinburgh and Scotland Information Centre in Princes Street. It is hoped its location will entice visitors inside the information centre to learn more about what the city and surrounding area has to offer.
VisitScotland Edinburgh and Lothians has also teamed up with Princes Mall shopping centre and their cow ‘Princes Moo’ to offer an udderly fantastic competition to anyone who pays a visit to both cows. The prize includes a 2-night stay in Edinburgh including VIP Edinburgh passes and £100 shopping vouchers. Entrants will have to chew the cud with VisitScotland’s cow outside the information centre and then take a trip into the mall to answer a tie-breaking question to enter.
CowParade is the world’s largest public art event, which will see around 100 cows grazing through the streets, parks and historic locations of Edinburgh this summer.
