A new free resource was unveiled to Borders tourism businesses in a bid to help attract more cyclists to visit the region. The “Borders Bike Kit“ has been developed by the Borders Recreational Cycling Group as part of a £100,000 programme to promote the region’s leisure cycling offer.

Drive It Home was VisitScotland’s international golf promotion as part of the Homecoming 2009 celebrations. The campaign, which enticed golfers from around the globe with the offer of a free four-ball on a number of golf courses across Scotland, attracted an impressive 47,500 international golfers to the website and returns in 2010.

There’s been a great start to the year with more than one million user sessions coming to the visitscotland.com website in January. Each visitor is on the website for around 15 minutes.The Winter White campaign website is averaging around 40,000 user sessions a month with an average “dwell-time” of more than five minutes.
