Edinburgh has been crowned Europe's Best Small City of the Future for a second successive year.
Judged on seven criteria, including economic potential, quality of life and business friendliness, Scotland's 'Inspiring Capital' topped fDi Magazine's European Cities & Regions of the Future shortlist.
The city also came out on top in the Best Economic Potential category, in which criteria including GDP growth, employment growth and economic sentiment were assessed.
fDi Magazine's European Cities and Regions of the Future 2010/11 shortlists take more than six months to research and involve the collection of data for 223 cities and 142 regions in Europe.
