Regional eUpdate - July 2015

Following the release of the latest visitor statistics, I am delighted to see that Scottish tourism continues to do exceptionally well during what is a very challenging economic time for many countries around the world.

Scotland bucked the UK trend with a positive first quarter, but this is by no means a fait accompli for the year. We, as an industry, must work hard to ensure we stay ahead of the game.

The success of 2014 raised Scotland’s profile to extraordinary heights, but to keep it there, we need to innovate and invest to guarantee that our stunning country remains on top of the world.

Read on to find out more about how you can be making the most of the year ahead.

Kind regards
Malcolm Roughead, OBE,
Chief Executive, VisitScotland
