Regional eUpdate - November 2015

Tourism is at the heart of the economy, creating jobs and sustaining communities. This month, we are celebrating those who have gone the extra mile to ensure that a visit to Scotland is an unforgettable experience.

Businesses and individuals the length and breadth of the country are being recognised at the regional Scottish Thistle Awards and associated ceremonies. And these aren’t the only accolades our industry has to shout about, with Glasgow being named as one of National Geographic’s top 20 destinations to visit in 2016.

This global recognition and a plethora of newly announced events are just some of what will help us put Scotland on the map in a new and exciting way in the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design.

With an enhanced global website and innovative new partnerships on the horizon, we have a lot to look forward to in 2016.

Enjoy this month’s eUpdate.

Kind regards
Malcolm Roughead, OBE,
