Eat Scotland Awards

EatScotland has announced the first ever winners of its newly launched Award Scheme in a move that is set to raise the bar in the Scottish eating out scene. Over 40 establishments have been declared EatScotland Silver Award winners, a reflection of the individual establishments high standards of cuisine, service and the overall eating out experience.

The EatScotland Silver & Gold Award scheme recognises outstanding standards in dining out across Scotland be they Michelin restaurants or cafes, tea rooms or the local chippie. The much-anticipated scheme has been launched in a bid to boost standards in eating establishments across Scotland and celebrate excellence, and ultimately boost tourism by changing perceptions of Scottish cuisine on a worldwide scale. Further Silver Awards will be issued to new winners throughout the year as assessments are completed.

Silver Awards will reflect an establishment’s high standards in terms of the overall eating out experience, including the food, the ambience and the service. Establishments such as the Coach House Coffee Shop in Luss, Kinloch Lodge in Skye and the Red Onion in Glasgow are just some of the few establishments to be awarded this accolade.

Establishments in Fife to achieve one of these outsatnding awards include the Anstruther Fish Bar and Restaurant and The Inn at Lathones.
