Hospitality is Assured at VisitScotland

VisitScotland recently passed a rigorous external assessment and achieved Hospitality Assured Accreditation for the first time. In doing so it is now the first UK national tourism organisation to achieve accreditation.

Hospitality Assured promotes and rewards the highest standards of service excellence for organisations in the hospitality industry and fits well with our recent Customer First restructure - one of the underlying principles of which was to simplify our regional structure and align the teams to customer-focused directorates.

Hospitality Assured is a Standard for Service and Business Excellence. The standard has been endorsed by the British Quality Foundation and Quality Scotland Foundation as meeting the criteria in the European Federation Quality - Business Excellence Model.

Hospitality Assured promotes and rewards the highest standards of service excellence through 10 standards in the model looking at all aspects from business planning and research to complaint handling. Successful businesses need to achieve 60% in each of the standards to achieve accreditation.
