The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in Aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
Friday 26 September 2008
10.30am to 4pm
Duart Castle, Isle of Mull
Duart Castle tearoom, one of the outstanding venues in VisitScotland’s Café Days campaign, is taking part in this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, a national charity event that aims to raise £800,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in Scotland.
The atmosphere at the event will be full of beans when the tearoom host live music from local accordionist Calum Maclean and raffle tickets for fantastic prizes go on sale—all complemented by a great cuppa to help raise money for the cause.
In return for a donation, visitors can choose from a selection of quality teas and coffees, thanks to kind contributions from suppliers Matthew Algie. For the event only, each type of tea or coffee will be appropriately named after famous Macleans and castle figures.
Plus of course, as well as the good cause, it’s also a great excuse for a bit of networking.
