Dundee & Angus Tourism Conference 2017

This year’s annual tourism conference for the region explores the theme of connectivity as part of Scottish Tourism Week 2017.

We have an exciting line-up of industry speakers covering various tourism projects and activities relevant to the region, each with a common factor of working together and connecting with the visitor.

Hear from North Coast 500, a successful tourism project which brings together 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery benefitting the whole of the North Highlands.

With a strong visitor proposition and working with neighbouring areas, hear plans about how Dundee & Angus plan to collaborate and drive visitors to the east of Scotland as a destination.

VisitScotland Chief Executive – Malcolm Roughead – will talk about the tourism industry embracing new technology, innovation and new ways of working to compete in a competitive global market, looking at the customer journey in this ever changing digital age.

Digital plays a huge part within the visitor journey, so the afternoon hosts various digital topics and sessions to help businesses maximise their opportunities.

Tourism is more than a holiday experience; it creates jobs and sustains communities in every corner of Scotland all year round and is at the heart of the Scottish economy.
