Learn from the best, celebrate the best and meet the best

There’s a real buzz around tourism at this time of year with the ‘big 3’ all taking place - conferences, Thistles and Expo - allowing us to learn from the best, celebrate the best and meet the best in Scottish tourism.

March brought with it one of the most important points in the tourism industry calendar – Scottish Tourism Week.
It has offered a major opportunity for tourism leaders and business owners to gather and hear about developments, challenges and opportunities.

At the end of the first week we saw the national final of the Scottish Thistle Awards, celebrating the fantastic achievements and innovations of our tourism and hospitality sector, which continues to deliver a world-class visitor experience. Congratulations to all of the finalists (view the full list).  The 2017/18 Scottish Thistle Awards is now open for entries.

And so we move to April and soon our annual business to business travel trade event, VisitScotland Expo (26 – 27 April).  But before that, Easter weekend of course is always a hugely significant time for the tourism industry with visitors experiencing all that we have to offer across Scotland.  I do hope it proves to be a good one.

Enjoy this month's eUpdate.
